Key Arena Seattle Washington
Key Arena is the home to the NBA Seattle SuperSonics. The Arena is in Seattle Center and is located in northern downtown Seattle. The building was rebuilt in the early 90's and was reopened in 1995. KeyBank purchased the naming rights and it was switched to the Key Arena from the Seattle Center Coliseum. The city of Seattle owns the coliseum.
The Seattle Center is a fairground, entertainment center and park. The Seattle Space Needle is located here along with the Intiman Playhouse, Pacific Science Center (and Boeing IMAX Theater, Eames IMAX Theater, and Laserium), and Mercer Arena. The Seattle Center is a very busy place with a lot of entertainment and things to do.
The Key Arena also hosts many major concerts. Some famous concerts include U2 and the Police (reunited). Since 2004 there has been talk about expanding the arena to include restaurants and practice areas for basketball.
